We hope to fulfil this broad objective through the analysis, debate and construction of education proposals for new learning environments from a technological and transformational perspective.

The reasons for creating an International Forum dedicated to Education and Technology:

• To consider Education as the driving force in the development of a country.
• To envision an educational context that is geared towards the creation and dissemination of knowledge in a digital environment.
• To define a future-oriented education strategy from a solid foundation.
• To find new, more flexible and more adaptable Educational Environments for the digital society.
• To generate networks that will help promote an environment for collaborative work and help create learning environments that are richer but also more complex.

FIET is one of the initiatives that will be held to commemorate the Tercentenary of the events of 1714, one of the most important dates in the history of Catalonia.

The commemoration is structured around seven strategic lines. FIET is contained within the Thought strategic line, which is made up of activities characterised by social reflection and debate, from a wide range of perspectives, on what the future of Catalonia as a society should be like.
